All this toxic shit people talk about doesn't just exist online. You'd be surprised at how many people go through it in real life. Which, in 9 out 10 cases, is the reason why some cats decide to go into a self imposed dating sabbatical.

Which brings us to the next question: how do you navigate the sexual market coming from a long, much needed dating break? The answer, right of the bat, is to bring back your awareness of self with you. With that secured, half the battle is won.

The sex market is all about picking and getting picked. Choosing and getting chosen back. There is power in Choice. If you want the upper hand, and if you want to keep off all the bat shit crazy prospects that put you in dating ICU in the first place, you have to choose who you want to go to bed with. Quite literally.

Standing by waiting for people to notice you and choose you isn't the best approach towards sunshine and rainbows in the sex market. Rather, you want to be in control of the game. You stay in control by being aware of what you consider an ideal candidate to rock the boat with. Notice I said ideal, not perfect. 

Being aware of your ideal outcomes goes a long way in helping you pick and choose who you want to fuck, or fuck with. Not to mention the other benefits awareness brings your way including the ability to watch out for red flags, staying at the top of your game, and, this is important, being aware of your prospect's needs and wants so you can find a way to anticipate and deal with them.
