Hippies are going to love what drug abuse rehabilitation experts for this.  The suggestion to only use psychoactive, non-addictive substances is premised on the idea that these substances, when consumed, are less likely to create dependency. Unlike hardcore narcotics, acid is said to have a transcendent effect on the brain, that puts the user in a mental and spiritual position to look at and think about the world from a higher level of perception. The trip is never permanent, but the 'trippy' revelations can endure.

The dangers posed by acid are far from rom lethal. But one runs the risk of facing their ego death and resurrecting as their True self. Researchers, living lovers and users of psychedelics agree in unison on one thing: An acid trip in your head is better than doing lines of coke and shots of heroine to the arm.
