Fame is all about creating and sustaining consistent buzz over a long period of time. It happens in many ways. You are at liberty to choose what you want to be known for. Whether you want to be a sex symbol, a success figure, clout chaser and what have you. 


As humans living in 2021, our sense of identity is based on what we do and accomplish, who we know, what we stand for or against and who we are associated with. It can be genuine love or it can be entirely for the purpose of attracting eyeballs to your lifestyle and using that attention to bring exposure to your music, art , product or brand.

Your image is how people see and perceive you. Think about what dating the richest man in town can do for your social status. It can give you warranted media coverage by virtue of your ties to the rich boyfriend. Same thing happens when you start going out with a famous socialite, successful actress, designer, model, fill in the blank.


Dating celebrities for clout means you intend to use the expected media attention to promote your brand. And this holds true whether it’s a celebrity dating another celebrity or an every day Jane Doe dating an infamous rapper.

 

The Drakes and Rihannas of this world already use this approach to keep the media glued to their brands and draw attention to their individual projects. When a celebrity begins seeing someone,  their fans  will naturally start following their romantic ventures and love lives. And eventually, they are bound to get immersed into their world. Fans have real FOMO when it comes to the latest news about their favorite rappers, actors, designers and creators. Nobody wants to miss out on what, say, Boutross is doing outside of music. Who swipes him off his feet? Who is Octopizzo going out with? Who does Katapilla lay with after laying down some barz? Who is Barak Jacuzzi's latest catch?


Dating celebrities for clout means you intend to use the expected media attention to promote your brand. And this holds true whether it’s a celebrity dating another celebrity or an every day Jane Doe dating an infamous rapper.


If getting media coverage is something you are interested in, it is a good idea to consider going the date-a-celebrity route. Are you actually asking for examples? It’s a proven recipe for creating buzz. Since people are described by who they are tied to, you will hear the name of a rapper being mentioned in the same breath as their socialite girlfriend/ boyfriend. 


The verdict is right in front of you. You can exploit your romantic relationships with industry players to climb the social ladder, build buzz and promote your brand. Comprende?
